SugarCRM is the world's leading provider of commercial open source customer relationship management (CRM) software. SugarCRM is a hot Silicon Valley start up that’s a fun, fast-paced and challenging company that’s side-swiping the Customer Relationship Management industry. SugarCRM's open source architecture allows companies to more easily customize and integrate customer-facing business processes in order to build and maintain more profitable relationships. SugarCRM is looking for a Contracts Attorney.



Responsibilities:

Assist with the negotiations of customer software subscription and services agreements, strategic alliance agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Maintain database of standard customer, alliance and developer agreements.

Review of all non standard agreements of customer software subscription and services agreements, strategic alliance agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Work with engineering, consulting services, and marketing, and other internal teams to establish legal policies and provide intellectual property protection and counseling on a large variety of issues.

Oversee SugarCRM’s intellectual property portfolio, including acting as primary coordinator for SugarCRM’s patent and trademark protection.

Oversee all aspects of corporate law including domestic and international employment and legal entity structure.

Consult and coordinate with outside counsel as appropriate.

Special projects as requested.





Job Qualifications:

A successful candidate will have a law degree.

Must have 5-10 years of legal experience, including significant technology licensing experience.

Must be a member of the California state bar.

Specialized knowledge of open source software licensing is a plus.

In house experience is preferred.

Top tier law firm training is required.
