Help Desk Administrator for Dynamic Video Game Company (SOMA / south beach)

Secret Level seeks a Help Desk Administrator who is very hands-on and isn’t afraid to be the go-to person for all things IT. A minimum of 1-2 years IT experience is a must.



Primary Responsibilities:



• Provide Level I and Level II desktop support to PC users in a Windows XP and Outlook environment of 100+ users.

• Answer Help Desk inquiries, enter work orders into ticketing system to delegate tickets specific to each technician’s responsibilities/level of technical difficulty and problem severity.

• Act as the primary point of contact in regards to inventory of hardware, software, and any other items IT has responsibility for.

• Maintain working relationships with current vendors.

• Obtain price quotes from various vendors via email, phone calls, chat. General knowledge and understanding of pc hardware needed in order to give vendors correct specifications of equipment being ordered.

• Communicate with hiring managers to make sure equipment/software being ordered is acceptable and compatible with current system configuration.

• Maintain product licensing. Ensure that licensing of newly installed software is purchased or covered under Microsoft's Select Licensing program.



Requirements:



• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Familiarity with Helpdesk tracking database, Inventory, and Purchasing modules.

• Know how to properly utilize the Internet to research equipment/software requests, troubleshoot technical problems, and download device drivers and/or updates.

• Ability to generate documentation when necessary to be emailed/given to end users.

• Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel.

• Knowledge of PC hardware, laptops, desktops, and peripherals.

• Familiarity with HP printers - maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to perform moderate lifting (30 lbs).



Preferred Qualifications:



• Database, web, wiki, php skills a plus

• Game industry experience
