CARR & FERRELL LLP is seeking a litigation secretary with 2+ years of experience – ideally in the areas of complex, business and IP litigation. The position requires a very strong command of Federal and State Court litigation procedures, rules, discovery, motions, appeals and e-filing requirements. Further, the ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational skills with a strong sense of individual responsibility and the ability to multitask within a team based practice involving multiple attorneys.



This is a part-time position; we are looking for someone to work the afternoon hours.



QUALIFICATIONS:

2 or more years of experience as a litigation secretary;

Background in intellectual property litigation preferred, but not required;

Familiarity with court procedures and court rules;

Strong communication skills including proofreading ability;

Ability to prepare and file (including e-file) pleadings in state and federal courts;

Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills;

Ability to multi task and support several attorneys;

Attention to detail;

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs;

Typing speed of 60 WPM and experience with transcription.
