Executive Assistant - Legal Department (SOMA / south beach)

We have an immediate opening for a full time Executive Assistant for a 3-4 month assignment to support the VP in our busy legal department.
Main Responsibilities:
Performs diversified secretarial and administrative duties of a confidential nature, which relieve the attorney of administrative details.
Maintains the attorney's daily calendar, schedules appointments and conferences, and makes necessary travel arrangements. Assembles necessary files and background materials for the attorney's scheduled meetings. Organizes agenda notices and ensures proper distribution. Will attend meetings to organize and transcribe minutes.
Receives visitors and screens questions and requests
Independently composes routine correspondence and non-routine complex letters from verbal instruction.
Sets up and maintains files of highly confidential data and Information of major importance.
Prepares attorneys expense reports for signature.
Updates monthly and quarterly reports, and suggests new and creative ways to display conclusions.
Conducts both primary and secondary research (researches trends, collects relevant external data) as needed for departmental issues.
Performs both routine and ad hoc data analysis, including arranging data into meaningful conclusions using charts, graphs, pivot tables, etc.
Designs and populates PowerPoint and spreadsheet presentations suitable for use in both internal and external analysis.
Experience:
At least three years of legal experience or experience with contracts, such as contract management, strong MS Office skills, secretarial experience in a busy transactional environment (non-litigation) at a law firm or in-house legal services department, preferably including the assembly and management of contracts and other documents.
