Into blogging? We're looking for a smart individual to shape BabyCenter.com's exciting new blogs for moms, dads, and anyone on the path to parenthood. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who's truly into in the blogosphere, digs social media, and is experienced in managing blogs, from recruiting bloggers to project-managing the details to strategizing and developing. We want someone who can hit the ground running and work in our San Francisco office.
The Blog Producer will:
Recruit new bloggers (scout for talent, manage contracts and orientation)
Manage the bloggers (expenses, invoicing, mentoring, developing, etc)
Manage the blogs themselves (traffic tracking, content QA, admin)
Manage promotion of the blogs across the BabyCenter Network and the web
Work on blog strategy and development and help grow the business
Represent the blog business unit at meetings and conferences
Contact us if you:
Have at least 5 years of experience in online project management and/or online producer responsibilities
Love blogging and social media
Have at least 2 years working with content related to preconception, pregnancy, and parenting
Are amazingly organized, can juggle many tasks, and are top-notch at prioritizing
Can spot great writing talent that will appeal to various audiences
Understand the legal issues around blogging (defamation, privacy, FOIA, licensing agreements, copyright, photo usage, etc)
Can work under pressure to meet goals and deadlines
Have great communication skills
